“Women are equal to everything”

Baroness Brenda Hale

My unique coaching style combines corporate and executive coach training with experiences as a woman at the Criminal Bar and through career transition from barrister to business owner.

My extensive experience includes business and career coaching, business training and development, & confidence and personal coaching. Using a wide range of methods and tools, I apply my many skills to support clients move from where they currently are to where they want to be, fulfilling their potential & achieving results, more quickly than they otherwise would without my unerring commitment to their success.

I am an approachable and seasoned communicator, utilising active listening skills and clear, focused questioning to successfully motivate and inspire. My adaptable coaching style is flexible to meet client need, & I pride myself on an open, honest and occasionally challenging approach.

I have particular experience in coaching lawyers and talk the same language, given my background as a barrister: I understand the expectations of the legal profession, the challenges of retaining talented women within it, and the importance of career management to reach one’s full potential.

I would be delighted to assist you on your own path to further professional success. Contact me for a preliminary, no obligation consultation to find out how I might do so.

Koru is the Maori word for “loop” and is the name given to an unfurling fern frond, silver fern being New Zealand’s national plant.

The spiral shaped Koru design derived from this is frequently seen in Maori art, carvings, tattoos & Pounamu “Greenstone” (nephrite jade) jewellery, the stone being highly prized by Maoris both physically and spiritually.

The unfurling frond signifies positive change, personal growth, a new phase in life, strength, perfection & peace. The circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement while the inner coil suggests a return to the point of origin.

One of my many professional & personal growth experiences was living and working as a barrister in Wellington, New Zealand, where I became very familiar with the country, its people and their symbolism, making this particular design an appropriate fit for the Mission Statement of Nikki Alderson Coaching: positive change, growth, new beginnings.

The coaching sessions I have had with Nikki have made me more enthusiastic about my career. Nikki’s coaching has helped to give me a forward-thinking approach to my current job, my future career and the progression that is required to achieve those goals. I found Nikki’s knowledge of my sector invaluable and a really useful tool in guiding me through the complexities of progressing in the legal field. Nikki’s method is geared towards getting you to think about what you are doing, where you want to go, and how you are going to get there. I found Nikki to be approachable, a clear communicator and a good motivator.
